Envision is creating a comprehensive global energy IoT and smart city ecosystem by integrating Sonnen, ChargePoint, AutoGrid, Bazefield, and other leading technology businesses. The company is headquartered in Shanghai and has regional offices in the Asia Pacific region, Europe, North America, and South America supporting energy transition globally.

In this article, we’ll learn more about the Envision network of business, the infrastructure they have created, and Envision’s existing projects, including wind turbines.

Envision Energy, one of the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturers distributing wind power and the second-largest in China, was founded in 2007. The location of its global R&D and engineering centers in Denmark, Germany, Singapore, and the US.

Envision Energy

Envision Group is a net-zero technology partner and a leading global provider of green technology. Solving difficulties for the sustainable future of humankind is their primary objective.

Envision creates, markets, and operates innovative wind turbines, intelligent storage systems, and the world’s most extensive AIoT operating system. It also owns Envision Racing Formula E Team.

As well as that, Envision continues to promote renewable energy sources like:

  • Wind and solar energy as the new coal
  • Hydrogen fuel and batteries as the new oil
  • “New grid,” net-zero industrial parks as the “new infrastructure”
  • Development of green “new industry” in general and other net-zero solutions

Global Growth

Lei Zhang created Envision in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, in the eastern part of China. Since 2009, the business has been operating fully since China Daily named Zhang one of the Top 10 Chinese inventors of 2014.

Consequently, at the Ucuquer Wind Farm in central Chile, Envision installed five 2.1 MW, 110-meter-rotor turbines in 2013. It also signed software agreements with the fleet of US developer Pattern Energy and fellow countryman Atlantic Power’s Canadian Hills Wind Farm in Oklahoma.

In addition, building smart infrastructure in Christchurch, New Zealand, will be a joint project between Envision and infrastructure fund manager Infratil in 2014.

Furthermore, to conduct business throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Envision opened an office in London in 2015. With the purchase of a 25 MW onshore project close to Eskilstuna, Sweden, it entered the European market. The same year, it purchased ViveEnergia’s 600 MW wind energy projects in Mexico.

2000 MW Wind Turbine Contract Milestone in India

Envision Energy announced today that it received a 2000 MW wind turbine order in India. By the end of 2023, the 596 wind turbines—all produced in Envision’s India factory—will have been delivered.

In that case, Envision will provide and commission its cutting-edge EN156/3.3 turbines. The most oversized rotor in the nation, the EN 156/3.3, has a 156m diameter. This rotor has a hub height of 140 meters and is attached to a 3.3 MW generator. The design is ideally adapted to make the most of the energy generated by the low wind regimes standard in the nation.

MW Wind Turbine Fund Commitment

To build its 1200 MW-capacity nacelle and hub assembly plant at Pune in 2018, Envision Energy committed USD 25M. In addition, envision will also ramp up to quadruple its existing capacity to satisfy the heightened market demands.

In the first quarter of 2023, low wind regimes were predominant in India. As a result, Envision is also constructing blade manufacturing in India. Accordingly, the 198 MW Khagashree Wind Farm and the 35 MW Kagvard Wind Farm with EN- 131/2.5 MW are uniquely suited to maximize the energy produced on turbines and are now operational in Envision projects in India. They were both completed in May and October of this year, respectively. These initiatives have so far produced more than 1.76 billion kWh of clean energy for the area.

Expansion to Indian Government

Envision is honored to help India meet its goal of procuring 500 GW and 50% of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2030. India anticipated hiring more than 300 locals as a result of the expansion of the wind and energy storage business to suit both the nation’s expanding needs and those of the Asia Pacific area’s more recent markets, according to Prasad, India’s country head.

In addition, Xu, Global Vice President and Managing Director of Envision India, claims they are honored by the trust of the Indian partner that has taken place and is glad to keep providing the most satisfactory services there. Furthermore, they commit to maximizing efficiency, cutting costs, and improving quality since we are experts at utilizing digital technologies to achieve carbon-neutral value.

Achievements & Accomplishments

The MIT Technology Review listed Envision Group as one of the top 10 “World’s 50 Smartest Companies” for 2019. In addition, envision was placed second globally on the Fortune “Change the World” list in October 2021.

Moreover, on April 22, 2021, Envision Group announced it would become carbon neutral in operations by 2022 and achieve carbon neutrality throughout its value chain by 2028. Envision Group joined the global ‘RE100’ initiative and became the first company in mainland China committed to 100 percent renewable electricity by 2025.

Smart Wind Turbines

Envision is the first company in the sector to create intelligent turbines that integrate cutting-edge control technologies, save cost, active performance control, and reliability forecasting skills of solar power.

Subsequently, their turbines have a thorough grasp of environmental conditions that continues to promote wind and a real-time understanding of status down to the component level, thanks to this “digital twin.”

A “software-defined” method uses design to deploy to improve the turbine’s efficiency and lifespan. In addition, Envision Smart Wind Farm solutions under Envision digital provide complete life-cycle management.

  • Wind farm location siting
  • Wind resource assessment
  • Bespoke engineering design
  • Construction
  • Deployment
  • Maintenance

Conclusion

Overall, Envision will keep pushing to improve efficiency, boost energy output, and reduce downtime for a lifetime of dependable energy production, driving the growth of medium-high wind power globally to new markets.
